Trusting the Lord during trying times

It is easy to tell someone to trust the Lord during their time of difficulty, but what happens when we’re the ones going through a challenging time?

Meditate on that for a bit.

Not easy to trust, huh?

Instead of stepping out in faith and trusting that God will take care of us, we tend to do the opposite. At times, we fall apart.

What we should do is get closer to Him–delve deeper into scripture, pray harder and trust Him more.

Are you going through a tough time?  If you answered, “yes”, read the scriptures that follow. These are a great reminder of why we should trust God. (Oh, and you are not alone!)

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.” Jeremiah 17:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

“For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:13

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

“Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” Psalm 62:8

“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum 1:7

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Psalm 39:7

I pray that these verses will bless you as much as they blessed me.

God bless you,

  1. I followed your link from Christian Women Bloggers Unite. Today I have been a bit discouraged with the whole idea of blogging and wondering “what am I doing?” Blogging is a lot of work and it is so hard to gain an audience, but I keep feeling a nudge from the Holy Spirit that I should keep going. Thank you for posting the scriptures that tells us to TRUST in the LORD! Keep up the good work!
